Zen Technologies, a Hyderabad-based leader in combat simulation systems, is undergoing a strategic transformation to expand its role within the defence sector. Previously focused on training solutions, the company is now diversifying into advanced operational capabilities for both Indian and global military customers through new product development and targeted acquisitions.
Its growing portfolio includes remote weapon stations, a compact micro-missile launcher, and a naval counter-UAS system, alongside AI-enabled shooting ranges designed to meet evolving battlefield requirements. To support this shift, Zen has acquired several specialized firms, including Tisa Aerospace (loitering munitions), Bhairav Robotics (unmanned ground vehicles), Anawave Systems (naval training), Vector Technics (UAV propulsion), and AI Turing (remote weapon systems). These acquisitions enable integration of complementary technologies into a unified, multi-domain offering.
A major milestone came in December 2025 when the company secured a ₹120 crore contract from the Ministry of Defence to establish India’s first combat training node (CTN) at an infantry school in Mhow. The facility will feature more than 60 simulators, combining live, virtual, and constructive training environments with live firing systems to enhance soldier readiness across a range of combat scenarios, including urban warfare and counter-drone operations.
Aligned with initiatives such as Atmanirbhar Bharat, the CTN reduces reliance on live ammunition while improving training efficiency and preparedness. With a proven track record, including delivery of simulators for systems like the Bofors L/70, Zen is positioning itself as a comprehensive defence solutions provider. Its expanded capabilities—spanning AI, robotics, and counter-drone technologies—also open avenues for exports as global demand for cost-effective, tech-driven systems continues to rise.
