Anduril Industries has delivered the first batch of Altius loitering munitions to Taiwan, just six months after signing a Foreign Military Sale (FMS) agreement in 2024.
The rapid delivery highlights a significant milestone in Anduril’s growing presence on the island and reflects deepening US-Taiwan defense cooperation.
The company credited the efficient coordination between the Taiwanese Ministry of Defense, US government, and industry stakeholders for the quick execution.
Local Expansion and AI Collaboration
Coinciding with the delivery, Anduril has opened a new office, Anduril Taiwan, which will focus on engineering support, supply chain coordination, and program management.
This move underscores the company’s long-term commitment to supporting Taiwan’s defense sector.
In parallel, Anduril is expanding cooperation with Taiwan’s National Chung-Shan Institute of Science and Technology (NCSIST) on AI-powered command and control systems and autonomous platforms.
The integration of Anduril’s Lattice AI software with NCSIST technologies has already been demonstrated, with live-fire testing scheduled later this month and further joint showcases planned for September’s defense exhibition.
