BAE Systems has delivered the first three BvS10 armored all-terrain vehicles to the armed forces of Sweden, Germany, and the UK under a multinational procurement program.
A total of 423 BvS10s were initially ordered: 223 for Sweden, 60 for the UK, and 140 for Germany. Deliveries are scheduled to continue until 2028. Germany later increased its order by 227 vehicles under the same framework.
The newest BvS10 model offers enhanced performance in challenging terrains—including snow, ice, sand, mud, wetlands, rocky ground, and steep mountains—while its amphibious capability ensures operation in flooded and coastal zones. This allows seamless mobility for both troops and equipment in diverse combat conditions.
The vehicle’s modular design supports multiple configurations, from personnel carrier and command post to ambulance, recovery, logistics, surveillance, and weapons carrier variants.
Additionally, Sweden has opted to integrate Saab’s Mobile Short-Range Air Defence system onto the platform. The BvS10 is already operational in several countries, including Austria, France, the Netherlands, Sweden, and the UK.
