Bohemia Interactive Simulations (BISim), part of BAE Systems, has been awarded an enterprise licensing deal to deliver its Digital Virtual Trainer (DVT) for use by the Canadian Army.
The trainer enables mission planning and rehearsal in realistic digital environments, helping troops prepare, practice, and evaluate operations.
Designed for versatility, it accommodates both first-person soldier training and large-scale unit exercises, making it suitable for use anywhere in the world.
The simulator is built on BISim’s Virtual Battlespace 4 whole-earth software and Blue IG image generator, ensuring high-quality visuals and compatibility with legacy systems.
Additionally, it integrates TerraTools Platinum, which generates accurate terrain maps from Geographic Information System data for training scenarios.
The contract runs for five years, with an option to extend for three additional years of sustainment.
