The Cyprus National Guard has taken delivery of two H-10 Poseidon surveillance drones produced by domestic manufacturer Swarmly Aero, according to local media reports.

Designed for both daytime and nighttime missions in demanding environments, the H-10 Poseidon operates at altitudes of up to 5 kilometers (3.1 miles) and has an operational range of 50 kilometers (31 miles).

The system supports reconnaissance and fire coordination missions, supplying artillery units with real-time data on target positions and movements.

Engineered for low observability, the drone features a reduced thermal signature and minimal radar cross-section.

To ensure resilience in contested environments, the H-10 incorporates advanced anti-jamming and anti-spoofing technologies, allowing it to maintain effectiveness amid heavy electronic warfare.

If GPS signals are disrupted, the platform can switch to alternative satellite navigation systems, ensuring continued mission execution.

The H-10 Poseidon has already seen operational use on the Ukrainian battlefield, with more than 200 units delivered to Kyiv and additional exports to Indonesia.

While strengthening indigenous defense capabilities, Cyprus is also expanding its procurement of advanced military systems.

In April last year, Cyprus received its first two H145M multirole helicopters from Airbus under a 2022 agreement, part of a six-aircraft fleet modernization program for the National Guard.

These deliveries followed a US policy change announced in early 2025 that granted Cyprus broader access to foreign military equipment.

Under this framework, Nicosia can procure defense articles, services, and supplies through mechanisms such as Foreign Military Sales, with Washington stating that such support aims to enhance Cyprus’s security and promote regional stability in the Mediterranean.
