Denmark has finalized a deal to acquire four MQ-9B SkyGuardian drones, aiming to enhance surveillance operations across the Baltic Sea, Arctic region, and North Atlantic.

The drones are scheduled for delivery between 2028 and 2029 and will come with three ground control stations, essential support equipment, and training for Danish personnel in the United States.

While the exact contract value remains undisclosed, the purchase is estimated at approximately 370 million euros ($434 million). The acquisition is being executed under the MQ-9B International Cooperation Support Partnership, coordinated by the NATO Support and Procurement Agency.

This multinational partnership — which includes Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Germany, and the United Kingdom — promotes cost-effective joint procurement, interoperability, and shared logistics, training, and support services. The collaborative framework is designed to reduce unit costs and foster the exchange of operational experience among member nations.
