France-based EOS Technologie has delivered its flagship Rodeur 330 unmanned aerial systems to Ukraine, supporting Kyiv’s nearly four-year defense effort against Russia.
The shipment marks the first delivery of the interceptor drones to Ukraine and forms part of a wider strategy to replenish the country’s UAV inventory. The initiative also strengthens Franco-Ukrainian industrial cooperation, with the aim of matching Russia’s reported production of up to 1,000 drones per day and countering “thousands” of threats using low-cost systems, according to AFP.
EOS Technologie’s president said the Rodeur 330 will serve as a “shield” for Ukraine’s armed forces, performing intelligence missions as well as kamikaze-style attacks. The delivery follows a December 2025 announcement confirming that the company would supply Ukraine with long-range loitering munitions, including the Rodeur 330 and a rocket-powered variant, for operational evaluation.
The Rodeur 330 has previously demonstrated the ability to neutralize a tank using first-person-view control and has proven effective in fully automated engagements against simulated targets. Weighing 25 kilograms with a 3-meter wingspan, the system carries a 4-kilogram payload and can be assembled in three minutes, with operators requiring just one week of training.
Launched by catapult and controlled via a gamepad, the drone offers up to five hours of loitering endurance, a range of 500 kilometers, a service ceiling of 5,000 meters, and a maximum speed of 120 kilometers per hour. The system is supplied with a dedicated flight case, ruggedized laptop, radio controller, and antenna set.
