In a major defense export deal, Turkish Aerospace Industries and Airbus have joined forces to supply Spain with Hürjet supersonic trainer aircraft.
Announced in Istanbul, the deal includes up to 30 aircraft, with local assembly components and support systems.
Set to replace Spain’s decades-old SF‑5M trainers, deliveries will begin by 2028.
The Hürjet, powered by a GE F404 engine, can reach Mach 1.4 and perform close air support missions, offering next-gen training capabilities and operational versatility.
