Israeli defense startup Insignito has been awarded a contract to deliver 180 acoustic UAS-detection systems for safeguarding high-security VIP facilities.

Rollout will start in January 2026, with installations ramping up through the year until full operational capability is achieved.

Each protected site will feature six interconnected “Dumbo” sensors that identify drones using acoustic triangulation, pinpointing their direction and distance based on sound signatures.

Insignito says field trials in Israel and the United States demonstrated detection performance of up to 2 kilometers, with precise directional tracking.

The company is preparing to expand into the American and European defense markets next year, driven by interest from Israeli defense contractors, military tech units, and international customers seeking affordable anti-drone solutions.

To fuel growth, Insignito recently secured $1.5 million in pre-seed investment from Fresh Defense Fund and the US-based ICI Fund.

The firm will also present its Dumbo system at an upcoming tactical UAS event in Tel Aviv, where defense officials and industry leaders will explore advances in drone and security technologies.
