Australia to Build NSM Launchers and Consoles for European Allies
Kongsberg Defence Australia has signed contracts to supply Naval Strike Missile (NSM) launchers and control consoles to European nations, expanding Australia’s role in missile production.
A 50 million AUD ($32 million) agreement will see the company deliver launchers to Spain and Denmark, the first export of NSM launchers manufactured outside Europe and the US.
Additionally, a 30 million AUD ($19.5 million) contract covers the supply of command-and-control consoles for Poland’s NSM Coastal Defence System.
The Polish procurement builds on its 2023 acquisition of NSM systems worth 8 billion zloty ($2.19 billion), which included missiles, launchers, simulators, and command vehicles to enhance coastal security.
