Leonardo has revealed plans to acquire Iveco Defence—maker of armored vehicles for military and civil sectors—for €1.7 billion ($1.95 billion), marking a strategic expansion of its land systems business.

The deal is slated to close in Q1 2026, subject to regulatory clearance. On the same day, the company reported a strong financial performance with an 11.7% year-on-year revenue increase in the first half, totaling €8.9 billion ($10.1 billion), and maintained its full-year revenue forecast of approximately €18.6 billion ($21.2 billion).
