Bell Textron has awarded Marotta Controls a contract to develop a power inverter for the MV-75 Future Long-Range Assault Aircraft (FLRAA) being built for the US Army. Marotta stated that the system will supply power to critical aircraft subsystems while ensuring a compact, efficient, and lightweight design. The agreement marks Marotta’s first collaboration with Bell and introduces the company’s DC-to-AC conversion technology to the rotorcraft sector.
Developed to replace portions of the US Army’s helicopter fleet, including the UH-60 Black Hawk and AH-64 Apache, the 51-foot (16-meter) MV-75 tiltrotor merges VTOL versatility with fixed-wing performance. Its design enables greater range, payload capacity, and mission speed, supporting the Army’s shift toward next-generation air mobility.
