California-based Mobix Labs has begun shipping its Filtered Mil-Spec Circular Connectors for integration into undisclosed next-generation military drones.

The rugged connectors, built with Pi-filter technology, block high-frequency electromagnetic interference to ensure secure communications and reliable GPS for navigation, targeting, payload operations, and flight control.

Already in use on tactical aircraft, these connectors are part of a broader US defense push to safeguard unmanned systems against GPS disruption by combining EMI protection with alternative navigation methods.

Recent efforts include the US Army’s field tests of Overland AI’s autonomous supply vehicle, capable of navigating without GPS, and Leidos’ quantum-based magnetic navigation system, which leverages the Earth’s magnetic field for accuracy in jammed environments.
