Skydio has secured a contract to supply its advanced small unmanned aerial systems (UAS) to the Norwegian Armed Forces. Valued at 101 million Norwegian kroner (approximately $9.8 million), the deal includes an undisclosed number of X10D drones—built to U.S. military specifications.

Each X10D is equipped with a cutting-edge sensor suite featuring a 48- to 64-megapixel camera and a Teledyne FLIR thermal sensor, enhancing real-time intelligence for quicker decision-making.

The drone is capable of launching in under 40 seconds, achieving speeds of 72 kilometers (45 miles) per hour, and operating for up to 40 minutes. It also features electronic warfare capabilities that allow for stable operation and data transmission in contested environments.
