Pakistan has inducted three 2400 TD hovercraft into its Marine Corps, expanding its ability to operate across the complex creek zones of southern Sindh. The addition strengthens the country’s rapid-response and amphibious operations in littoral regions, where mobility is often limited by shifting tides and soft terrain.

During a visit to forward posts in the Creeks Area, the Chief of the Naval Staff reviewed combat readiness and oversaw the formal induction of the new hovercraft. The Pakistan Navy highlighted the event as part of an ongoing modernization effort to enhance operational reach in coastal and estuarine zones—critical for surveillance, border security, and swift troop deployment in challenging environments.
