US Air Force Awards Q-Net Security Contract for Advanced Communications
Q-Net Security, headquartered in St. Louis, has won a US Air Force contract to strengthen battlefield communications with greater speed, reliability, and security.
The initiative extends the company’s previous work with the service on airborne networking, including wide-area airborne networks, high-capacity air-to-air links, and mobile self-forming systems designed to maintain connectivity during movement.
The program will also create Tactical Key Management encryption tools to enable secure, real-time communications supporting the Air Force’s Agile Combat Employment strategy.
Q-Net offers solutions such as the Q-Box, which encrypts traffic between authorized endpoints, and the Q-Net Policy Manager, capable of controlling large-scale device networks. Both leverage hardware-based “hardsec” architecture to minimize software flaws and resist cyberattacks.
The US military has already used Q-Net’s systems to secure sensitive communications and infrastructure.
CEO John Pyrovolakis emphasized that the award reflects the Air Force’s determination to field advanced, battle-ready communication systems that provide American forces with a decisive edge.
