The United Kingdom has concluded a 10-year, nearly $11 billion agreement to supply Turkey with 20 Eurofighter Typhoon aircraft. According to the UK Ministry of Defence, this represents the “biggest fighter jet deal in a generation,” aimed at boosting Turkey’s air power and strengthening NATO’s regional security. The deal safeguards approximately 20,000 British defense jobs and contains an option for additional aircraft deliveries going forward.
