Roke, a subsidiary of Chemring Group, has secured a £251 million ($333 million) framework contract from the UK Ministry of Defence to lead research initiatives advancing the nation’s missile defense capabilities. In collaboration with the UK Missile Defence Centre (MDC), Roke will coordinate contributions from industry partners and oversee project delivery, focusing on countering emerging threats such as ballistic and hypersonic missiles. Over 95% of the work will be carried out by a UK-based workforce, reinforcing the development of sovereign defense technologies.
