Orqa has entered into an agreement with Red River Army Depot to help expand the US Army’s production capacity for small unmanned aircraft systems (UAS).

Under the deal, the Texas-based depot—known for manufacturing and maintaining military vehicles and components—will produce Orqa drones for US military use, while Orqa will provide the underlying technology and production expertise. The systems developed could also be supplied to partner nations through existing defense cooperation channels.

The initiative aligns with broader efforts under Washington’s latest National Defense Authorization Act to scale up unmanned systems production within army depots.

Despite expanding internationally, Orqa continues to center most of its manufacturing operations in Osijek, utilizing advanced tools such as 3D printing and radio-frequency testing systems. Its work focuses on first-person view (FPV) drone technologies, including antennas, controllers, headsets, and low-latency video transmission systems.

The company conducts most of its design and engineering in-house, covering electronics, RF systems, optics, and prototyping.

The agreement builds on Orqa’s existing collaboration with the US military and forms part of its Global Manufacturing Program, aimed at expanding production capacity and integrating more closely with the US defense industrial base.

Currently, Orqa can produce up to 280,000 drones annually at its Osijek facility and aims to scale output to over one million units per year through partnerships in the United States. Its systems have also been deployed in US Army Europe and Africa initiatives, including drone-focused warfighter competitions involving allied and partner forces to evaluate operational UAS capabilities.
