Patria has signed a series of cooperation agreements with Czech state-owned defense organizations as Czech Republic moves closer to selecting a new fleet of 8×8 armored vehicles.

The agreements, finalized with the Military Technical Institute, the Military Research Institute, and defense company VOP CZ, are intended to strengthen domestic industrial participation while enhancing long-term development, manufacturing, and sustainment capabilities within the NATO member state.

According to Patria, the partnerships are structured to maximize involvement from both government-owned and private Czech defense firms should its platform be chosen for the procurement program.

Delivering a Combat-Proven Platform

Prague’s modernization initiative seeks to acquire more than 250 armored vehicles to replace the aging Pandur II 8×8 fleet introduced during the 2000s.

Pending final government approval, vehicle deliveries are expected to commence in 2029.

For the competition, Patria is offering the AMV XP 8×8 CZ — a localized version of its flagship Armored Modular Vehicle platform engineered to meet NATO operational standards while allowing future capability upgrades.
