Thales has joined forces with an AURA AERO subsidiary to develop a new intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) unmanned aircraft system intended to strengthen France’s independent defense capabilities.
As part of the Medium Altitude Long Endurance (MALE) program, AURA M is developing the Enbata drone, a versatile multi-role platform equipped with fly-by-wire technology and an open-system architecture that allows the integration of various mission payloads.
The aircraft will be fitted with Thales’ AirMaster C airborne radar, which combines a compact active electronically scanned array (AESA) design with embedded artificial intelligence to enhance detection, tracking, and situational awareness capabilities.
