Nordic Air Defence is expanding its footprint into Poland by partnering with WB Group and Tantalit to counter drone threats. The move includes opening a local office and formalizing cooperation through a letter of intent.
The partnership will explore integration, production, and commercialization of NAD’s K100XR high-speed interceptor within WB Group’s counter-drone systems and Tantalit’s AI-driven command-and-control architecture. It also considers localized manufacturing or assembly of the interceptor in Poland.
NAD will lead system design and development, while WB Group and Tantalit will provide expertise in AI software, integration, and battlefield networking. Planned activities include joint workshops and feasibility studies to support Poland’s C-UAS programs and expand export opportunities.
Established in 2024, Nordic Air Defence focuses on countering rapidly evolving drone threats seen in conflicts such as the Russia-Ukraine conflict. WB Group is a key European defense player in unmanned systems, while Tantalit specializes in defense IT solutions and became part of WB Group in 2025.
The K100XR interceptor is a lightweight, carbon-fiber drone designed for swarm operations. Equipped with a single-prop engine and foldable wings, it offers a cost-efficient solution for detecting and neutralizing aerial threats. The system can reach speeds above 354 km/h, with an operational range of around 3.2 kilometers and an altitude ceiling of approximately 1,006 meters.
