Textron Systems has partnered with Louisiana-based Vivace International Corporation to supply critical components for its Cottonmouth Advanced Reconnaissance Vehicle (ARV) program. The collaboration supports Textron’s April 2026 contract to deliver 16 pre-production Cottonmouth vehicles for the US Marine Corps as part of its modernization initiative aimed at enhancing mobile firepower, expeditionary logistics, command and control, and counter-unmanned aerial system (C4UAS) capabilities. The contract also includes three systems integration laboratories and four blast hulls. Vivace will manufacture and integrate key components at its aerospace and defense facilities located within NASA’s Michoud Assembly Facility in New Orleans, utilizing advanced precision assembly techniques for defense, aerospace, and space applications. The company said its involvement highlights its expanding role in the defense industrial base, while New Orleans Mayor Helena Moreno described the project as a significant milestone that will strengthen the local economy and support continued industrial growth.
