Two Hyderabad-based companies have collaborated to develop India’s first “dual stealth drone,” integrating autonomous capabilities with cutting-edge material designed to evade both radar and infrared (IR) detection.
The stealth technology, named RAMA (Radar Absorption & Multispectral Adaptive), has been created by Veera Dynamics. Utilizing nanotechnology, it can be applied as a paint or wrap on military platforms.
RAMA features a blend of two carbon-based compounds that absorb radar signals and convert them into heat, which then dissipates at a rate of 1.5°C (2.7°F) per second, effectively masking the drone’s presence.
