A US company is integrating a high-performance gaming laptop with a handheld controller to develop a new first-person view (FPV) drone simulator that promises troops a “highly realistic” training environment.
MVRsimulation’s FPV system merges its Virtual Reality Scene Generator (VRSG) with advanced flight models from Virginia-based Bihrle Applied Research, replicating the visual and cognitive challenges of operating drones in combat.
Users train inside an immersive FPV environment based on real-world locations, where virtual military vehicles, weapons, and other assets appear dynamically.
