Rheinmetall’s newly introduced FV-014 loitering munition has demonstrated its precision strike capability in a live-fire exercise, underscoring a platform designed to hit targets at distances of up to 100 kilometers (62 miles).
The demonstration took place at the National Test Centre for Unmanned Aerial Systems operated by the German Aerospace Centre, where the kamikaze drone executed a series of attack patterns and tactical maneuvers.
During the trial, the system was launched from a ground-based platform, identified and evaluated its objective while airborne, and ultimately destroyed what appeared to be an armored vehicle.
