Leidos has secured a $454.9-million contract to help modernize the Cloud One platform used by the US Air Force to host and manage applications in secure cloud environments.
As part of the program, the company will collaborate with leading commercial cloud providers such as Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform, and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.
The project focuses on improving cybersecurity safeguards, increasing automation in cloud operations, and simplifying overall cloud management. These upgrades will enable Air Force units to migrate applications and data to cloud infrastructure while ensuring the protection of operational and mission-critical systems.
The modernization effort is also expected to accelerate the rollout of digital tools for service members and streamline cloud service management across the force.
Leidos noted that the work aligns with its NorthStar 2030 strategy, which aims to expand the company’s involvement in large-scale technology modernization and cybersecurity initiatives for US federal agencies.
Latest Initiatives
The award adds to several recent technology and cyber programs led by Leidos within US and allied defense organizations.
Last month, the company partnered with RegScale to integrate cybersecurity platforms that automate compliance monitoring and reinforce digital protections across the US Department of Defense and other federal agencies.
In 2025, Leidos also collaborated with VML to develop Imperium, an artificial intelligence platform designed to support US information operations by providing tools to plan, execute, and evaluate information campaigns while ensuring compliance oversight.
Earlier that year, Leidos won an $87-million contract from the NATO Communications and Information Agency to build a centralized IT system based on private cloud technology. The project brings together a multinational team including Thales in France, CGI in Germany, Leonardo in Italy, and the UK firms LA International and NEXO to enhance network scalability and strengthen NATO’s cyber resilience.
