The United States has approved two military support packages worth a combined $428.2 million for India’s Apache attack helicopters and M777A2 ultra-light howitzers. The Apache support package includes engineering, logistics, technical assistance, and training services for the Indian Armed Forces’ AH-64E fleet, while the second agreement focuses on long-term sustainment of the M777A2 artillery systems. Boeing, Lockheed Martin, and BAE Systems will serve as key contractors for the initiatives. Washington stated that the agreements reinforce defense cooperation with India and support broader Indo-Pacific security objectives.
