Canada has approved contract amendments worth $1.15 billion with Lockheed Martin to extend maintenance and modernization support for the Royal Canadian Air Force’s CC-130J Hercules fleet. The package includes long-term in-service support through 2029 and the integration of RCAF 105 upgrades across all 17 aircraft. The upgrades will enhance navigation, communication, avionics, and flight management systems to ensure compliance with both military and civilian airspace standards. The initiative is expected to sustain more than 1,100 jobs across Canada while keeping the CC-130J fleet operationally ready for domestic and international missions.
