Australian defense technology company Arkeus has raised 25 million Australian dollars ($18 million) in Series A funding to accelerate development of its AI-powered battlefield sensing systems. The company specializes in advanced sensor technologies that help autonomous platforms detect, analyze, and react to battlefield conditions in real time, particularly in contested environments. Its flagship Hyperspectral Optical Radar combines artificial intelligence with hyperspectral imaging to improve target detection and tracking across multiple operational domains. Arkeus claims the technology can achieve detection ranges significantly greater than traditional optical sensing systems.
