Poland-based defense firm FlyFocus has secured 4.5 million euros ($5.3 million) in its first institutional funding round to accelerate growth in drone and avionics production.

The raise was backed by venture capital investors, including both public and private funds from Poland. A portion of the capital will be used to build a new manufacturing facility in the country, slated to begin operations in the second half of 2026.

The company also intends to expand its international footprint and advance research and development, with two new drone platforms scheduled for release later this year.

The investment comes after eight years of bootstrapped expansion, during which FlyFocus moved from R&D-focused activities into serial manufacturing and secured direct contracts with Poland’s armed forces.

“Made in Europe” Strategy

FlyFocus emphasizes a “Made in Europe” production philosophy, highlighting concerns that much of the continent’s drone sector relies heavily on non-European—particularly Chinese—components.

To mitigate this dependence, the company sources parts exclusively from NATO-aligned suppliers, seeking to enhance supply chain transparency, reduce external vulnerabilities, and comply with European defense procurement standards.

Product Portfolio

FlyFocus offers a range of systems spanning ISR platforms, loitering and strike drones, and counter-drone solutions.

Among its flagship products is Polaris, a 4.5-kilogram backpack-portable fixed-wing ISR drone capable of up to 4.5 hours of endurance and designed for single-operator deployment.

The Striker platform provides long-range loitering capability, with a range exceeding 1,000 kilometers and payload capacity of up to 40 kilograms, optimized for operations in contested electronic warfare environments.

Another solution, CableGuard, is a tethered drone system built for persistent aerial surveillance and is already fielded by government and institutional users.
