The United Arab Emirates has selected Electro Optic Systems (EOS) to supply its Slinger counter-drone remote weapon system under a contract valued at $124 million, marking a significant expansion of the platform’s presence in global defense markets.
The agreement includes the complete Slinger RWS package, covering the weapon system, cannon, spare parts, training services, and associated support equipment. Deliveries will be managed through Abu Dhabi-based Generation 5 Holding (Gen5).
Production activities will be shared between facilities in Australia and the UAE, with system deliveries expected to commence in 2027.
