Germany has sealed a €2 billion ($2.3 billion) contract with EuroSpike to procure Spike anti-tank missiles through the NATO Support and Procurement Agency, expanding its precision strike capabilities.

EuroSpike, based in Bavaria, is a joint venture between Israel’s Rafael Advanced Defense Systems and German partners Rheinmetall Electronics and Diehl Defence, which collectively own 80% of the company.

Beyond supplying the missiles, the deal provides for training, maintenance, technical and integration support, and comprehensive documentation.

The Spike series, used globally by more than 40 countries, can be fired from handheld launchers, ground vehicles, aircraft, or naval vessels, offering an operational range from 50 to 50,000 meters, depending on the model.

Manufacturing largely takes place within Europe, allowing Rafael to minimize export restrictions on Israeli-made systems.
