Denmark has ordered 44 additional CV9035 MkIIIC infantry fighting vehicles from BAE Systems, expanding its 2024 purchase of 115 CV90s.

With this latest procurement, the Royal Danish Army’s fleet will total 159 CV9035 MkIIICs by 2030, replacing the previously planned mid-life upgrade of 44 older CV9035DK vehicles.

The new contract, worth around $450 million, includes spare parts, logistical support, training, and sustainment services.

The CV9035 MkIIIC is aligned with the Netherlands’ latest CV90 mid-life upgrade configuration and features the newest CV90 turret.

Designed by BAE Systems Hägglunds, the CV90 can integrate multiple weapons such as autocannons, machine guns, grenade launchers, and guided missiles.

Denmark first fielded the CV90 in 2007, joining other NATO users including Estonia, Finland, and Sweden — the latter entering a joint procurement agreement with three nations in June 2025.

Both Denmark and Sweden have also transferred CV90s to Ukraine to support its defense against Russia.
