L3Harris Technologies has secured new Foreign Military Sales (FMS) contracts to supply its Falcon tactical radio systems to Germany in support of the country’s military communications modernization efforts.
The Falcon family includes handheld radios, manpack systems, vehicle- and airborne-mounted transceivers, as well as power amplifiers, providing secure multi-band voice and data communications across multiple operational domains.
The procurement supports Germany’s Digitalization – Land Based Operations (D-LBO) program, an initiative aimed at strengthening the German Armed Forces’ mobile command-and-control capabilities through advanced communication technologies. In addition to conventional forces, the radios will also be deployed by Germany’s special operations units.
Deliveries are scheduled to begin later this year and will include regional technical support and expertise. The latest awards build on multiple contracts announced by L3Harris in May, valued at up to $214 million, for Germany’s D-LBO program. The company has also previously supplied tactical communication systems for modernization initiatives undertaken by the US Army, the Dutch Armed Forces, and other European defense partners.
