Raytheon UK has been contracted by BAE Systems to deliver a GPS anti-jamming capability for the CV90 infantry fighting vehicle, improving its navigation reliability under electronic attack.
The selected system, Landshield Plus, integrates its antenna and processor into a single unit, offering instant awareness of jamming activity and its source.
Launched in 2019, the system is equipped with spoofing detection technology to flag counterfeit GPS signals intended to distort position data. When fielded across several vehicles, Landshield Plus can form a network to pinpoint jamming or spoofing sources, turning defensive protection into actionable battlefield intelligence.
The solution covers the L1 and L2 GPS bands, countering interference from as many as six simultaneous jammers. Integration onto the CV90 is scheduled between 2025 and 2029.
