L3Harris Technologies delivered close to 500,000 fuzes in 2025, setting a company record as weapons production for the US and allied forces accelerated.

The surge was driven by expanded output from L3Harris’ Fuzing and Ordnance Systems unit, which supplies fuzing solutions, safe-and-arm mechanisms, and ordnance components used in solid rocket motors and precision-guided munitions.

Fuzes play a vital role in determining the timing and mode of detonation, particularly in modern missile and air defense architectures where reliability, safety, and precision are mission-critical.

Company data shows that 2025 shipments represented nearly an 80 percent increase year-on-year, up from more than 280,000 units delivered across multiple defense programs in 2024.

L3Harris attributed the sustained growth to long-term demand from US Department of Defense programs and allied customers, rather than a temporary production spike.

The company also reported record fuze order volumes for the second consecutive year, underscoring persistent pressure on global munitions supply chains.

Production expansion has been supported by major contract awards, with 2025 marking deliveries under multiyear supply agreements as well as new orders reinforcing long-term demand.

In June 2024, L3Harris secured a multi-year US Army delivery order worth up to $872.4 million for M762A1 and M767A1 electronic timing fuze production, extending an existing contract with deliveries planned through the decade.

Additionally, in July 2025, the company won a nearly $15 million contract from the US DoD’s Ogden Air Logistics Complex for fuze production and inventory support, reflecting ongoing sustainment and logistics stockpile expansion.
