L3Harris Technologies and RFTEQ have entered into a memorandum of understanding to strengthen electronic warfare (EW) capabilities for the Australian Defence Organisation (ADO), a collaborative framework that brings together government bodies and domestic industry partners to enhance national security and industrial capacity.

Under this partnership, L3Harris will contribute its expertise in system design, integration, and manufacturing across electromagnetic spectrum technologies, as well as intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) systems. These capabilities will be integrated with RFTEQ’s advanced radio frequency portfolio, which includes modular and custom RF solutions, microwave technologies, and test and measurement systems.

The collaboration supports Australia’s broader objective of achieving greater self-reliance in defence technology while improving its ability to counter evolving global threats.

This agreement builds on L3Harris’s expanding presence in Australia, following the establishment of an electronic warfare facility in Brisbane in 2024 and an Indo-Pacific support hub in Pinkenba in 2025. The company has also introduced the locally developed NETCASTER system, designed to deliver enhanced tactical connectivity compared to traditional routing solutions.
