Texas-based defense contractor KBR has received a task order valued at up to $208 million to support operations under the US Army’s Tactical Aviation and Ground Munitions (TAGM) Project Office.
The award extends KBR’s role as the program’s prime contractor, with a focus on developing optimized acquisition strategies to accelerate the delivery of next-generation precision-strike capabilities in response to evolving global security threats.
Under the task order, KBR will provide comprehensive lifecycle support covering advanced engineering, rapid prototyping, system modernization, foreign military sales, and global logistics.
The company will also contribute to key US Army modernization priorities, including multi-domain operations, enhanced aviation lethality, and counter-unmanned aerial system capabilities.
TAGM operates under the Army’s Portfolio Acquisition Executive FIRES and supports the development and fielding of several major weapon systems. These include AGM-114 Hellfire missiles, Joint Air-to-Ground Missiles, Javelin and TOW anti-tank missiles, Hydra rockets, and Long-Range Precision Munitions.
The work is expected to continue for five years and will be carried out by KBR’s Mission Technology Solutions division, which is planned to spin off as Trinzic.
