Bell Textron has announced the sale of the first Bell 407GXi helicopter in India to TransBharat Aviation Private Limited, one of the country’s longest-serving non-scheduled helicopter operators.

Established in 1990, TransBharat Aviation has maintained a longstanding relationship with Bell, operating aircraft such as the Bell 206B3 and Bell 407. The addition of the Bell 407GXi will further enhance the company’s capabilities, providing advanced technology for high-altitude missions, utility surveys, and corporate transportation services across India.

The helicopter will join a global fleet of more than 1,500 Bell 407 aircraft, which have collectively accumulated over six million flight hours across utility, executive transport, air medical, and public safety operations worldwide.

As one of India’s oldest non-scheduled aviation operators, TransBharat Aviation has built a reputation for high standards in safety, engineering, and operational performance. The acquisition of the Bell 407GXi reflects the company’s continued commitment to fleet modernization and the advancement of rotary-wing aviation in India.
