Oshkosh Defense has received multiple contracts valued at $142 million to supply its Family of Medium Tactical Vehicles (FMTV) A2 fleet to the US military and international allies. The orders include the 4×4 cargo, 6×6 cargo, and long-wheelbase variants, all engineered to support sustained logistics and transport operations over challenging terrain. The company did not disclose delivery schedules, order quantities, or customer details. The new awards follow a major FMTV A2 contract earlier this year covering 97 vehicles in a low-velocity airdrop configuration for the US Army. The FMTV A2 4×4 cargo truck offers a payload capacity of 6,000 pounds, cargo volume of 146 cubic feet, and a top speed of 62 mph. The 6×6 cargo model can carry up to 16,000 pounds of equipment, provides 165 cubic feet of cargo space, and reaches speeds of 60 mph. Meanwhile, the long-wheelbase 6×6 version features 238 cubic feet of load capacity and an integrated crane capable of lifting 10,000-pound payloads to heights of 12 feet.
