India’s unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) capabilities could gain an additional strike option with the development of a lightweight air-to-ground (A2G) missile intended for future drone operations.

The missile is expected to weigh between 10 and 15 kilograms (22 to 33 pounds), have a maximum length of approximately 2 meters (6.6 feet), and carry a warhead weighing up to 2 kilograms (4.4 pounds).

For navigation, the weapon is designed to combine an Inertial Navigation System (INS) with a Selective Availability Anti-Spoofing Module (SAASM). This configuration is intended to maintain navigation and guidance performance even when GPS signals are unavailable or disrupted.
