The US Army has selected six companies to develop production-ready unmanned ground vehicle (UGV) prototypes for frontline logistics and casualty evacuation missions.
The Infantry Last Tactical Mile (ILTM) program seeks to deploy autonomous ground systems for high-risk operations between rear support locations and forward units. The initiative is designed to reduce soldiers’ exposure to dangerous areas while improving the delivery of supplies and evacuation capabilities.
The selected companies are Maren-Go, Overland AI, Forterra, Hendrick’s Motorsports, American Rheinmetall, and HDT.
