HII has delivered the first two Lionfish small unmanned underwater vehicles (UUVs) to the US Navy under a 2023 contract aimed at advancing subsurface autonomy. The deal includes nine initial units and could expand to 200 by 2028, with total potential value exceeding $347 million. HII is also providing engineering and operational support as part of the agreement.
