L3Harris Technologies (NYSE: LHX) has been awarded a contract to supply the Republic of Korea Air Force with modified Bombardier Global 6500 AEW&C aircraft. The company is collaborating with Bombardier, Israel Aerospace Industries’ ELTA Systems, and Korean Air to deliver this advanced capability under a program exceeding $2.26 billion.
The upgraded aircraft will feature enhanced speed, endurance, and high-altitude performance to boost mission readiness and safety. Equipped with combat-proven radar systems, they will enable faster threat detection and tracking. A next-generation communications suite will ensure interoperability with U.S., NATO, and coalition forces, supporting a connected battlespace alongside fifth-generation aircraft.
