The Czech Republic has chosen US-based Gentex Corporation to provide ballistic helmets and communication headsets as part of a large-scale modernization of its military gear.
Valued at over 1 billion Czech korunas ($47.8 million), the procurement was facilitated through the NATO Support and Procurement Agency (NSPA), enabling joint purchasing among allied nations.
The contract covers Gentex’s Ops-Core lightweight helmets and related accessories, including AMP headsets, push-to-talk systems, ballistic visors, face shields, jaw guards, and Special Operations Tactical Respirators with integrated microphones for hazardous operations.
Together, these components form a comprehensive protection and communication suite designed to enhance troop safety, coordination, and mobility in combat situations.
Under the arrangement, NSPA will oversee production and logistics alongside the Czech Ministry of Defence, while Gentex will provide training, fitting, and long-term maintenance.
All deliveries are expected to be completed by October 2026.
