Germany has awarded Fassmer a contract to build and deliver four training vessels for the German Navy.

The agreement falls under the Sea-Based Training and Sea Trials (modified) program, with the first vessel expected to be handed over by the end of 2028.

These ships will function as dedicated training platforms for survival-at-sea instruction and nautical education, helping naval personnel develop essential maritime competencies such as navigation, seamanship, ship handling, vessel stability, and safety procedures.

Fassmer has previously supplied two training boats to the WTD 71 (German Armed Forces Technical Center for Ships and Naval Weapons). The company stated that the new order underscores confidence in the proven performance and operational value of the platform.
