Babcock International Group has secured a two-year contract extension to continue delivering the Future Maritime Support Program (FMSP) for the Royal Navy. The program provides essential fleet maintenance and infrastructure support for active surface combatants, ensuring operational readiness and alignment with evolving threat environments.

Under the new agreement, Babcock will carry out technical upgrades and portfolio management for Duke-class (Type 23) frigates, Sandown-class mine countermeasure vessels, amphibious platforms, and landing craft. These activities will be executed by specialized teams operating from Devonport in England and Rosyth in Scotland.

Beyond maritime support, the company has also extended its role with the Royal Air Force through the Light Aircraft Flying Task (LAFT) program. This four-year extension covers engineering and operational support for light aircraft training across 13 UK locations, building on more than 750,000 flight hours already delivered for joint force pilot training.
