The 122mm GRAD rocket, widely used with systems such as the BM-21 Grad and its variants, gains enhanced capability with the extended 40 km range—significantly surpassing the typical 20–30 km range of legacy models. This improvement enables deeper strike reach, increased standoff distance from counter-battery threats, and greater operational flexibility on the battlefield.
Brahmastra has emphasized its assured manufacturing capacity, noting that production slots have already been secured, ensuring supply chain stability.
