Brahmastra Explosives & Ammunition has announced the immediate availability of 122mm GRAD rockets with an extended range of up to 40 kilometers, strengthening its position in the global artillery munitions market amid rising demand for rocket systems. The company highlighted its ability to support both urgent operational needs and long-term supply commitments through secured production arrangements with OEM partners.
The 122mm GRAD rocket, widely used with systems such as the BM-21 Grad and its variants, gains enhanced capability with the extended 40 km range—significantly surpassing the typical 20–30 km range of legacy models. This improvement enables deeper strike reach, increased standoff distance from counter-battery threats, and greater operational flexibility on the battlefield.
Brahmastra has emphasized its assured manufacturing capacity, noting that production slots have already been secured, ensuring supply chain stability. This is particularly critical in the current global environment, where ammunition shortages and extended delivery timelines have become common. Reliable production scheduling allows customers to plan procurement more effectively and maintain readiness.
The company also stated that the rockets are ready for immediate deployment, offering a near-term solution for forces seeking rapid replenishment or capability enhancement. Availability, however, remains subject to stock levels and prior sales commitments, with interested customers encouraged to engage directly for technical details, pricing, and delivery timelines.
