The Kyiv-based Come Back Alive Foundation has announced one of the largest drone acquisition initiatives in its history, signing a contract for approximately 16,500 tactical unmanned aerial systems (UAS) for the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Valued at more than 1.37 billion hryvnias ($30.9 million), the package includes long-range first-person-view (FPV) drones designed to enhance frontline reconnaissance and strike capabilities.
Foundation Director Taras Chmut hailed the agreement as a landmark achievement, highlighting its significance not only for the organization but also for Ukraine’s rapidly expanding domestic drone industry. The procurement underscores the growing role of unmanned systems in Ukraine’s defense strategy and the increasing scale of support being directed toward drone-based operations.
